CHACUN SON CINÉMA
INFORMATION VISUALIZATION
This project focuses on a collaborative study of a film composed of a series of short stories -, which aims to develop knowledge of data collection and representation through Information Visualization, as well as Interface Design patterns through the design of a website (for desktop device).

Reflecting on the way we consume information, whether of a quantitative and/or qualitative nature, visual research methodologies in digital and analogue media are addressed, with static and dynamic mechanisms, providing students with techniques and research methods useful in the foundation of future projects.
.
At the request of the Cannes Film Festival, in celebration of its 60th edition, Chacun Son Cinéma is a collaborative film directed by 35 directors and 33 filmmakers. With more than 25 countries and 5 continents, the work brings together the most famous artists, all of these receiving 3 minutes of film, where they could freely represent the common theme: the thought/idea/individual concession of the height about the condition of the seventh art. This way, the film represents cinema, in its diversity of cultures and forms, the ideal gift to commemorate the Film Festival.

The film's subtitle reads "a declaration of love to the big screen". Many of the shorts films share similar themes, including homage to classic European art cinema, the death of the moviegoing experience, memories of childhood wonders, the transporting power of cinema, and activities undertaken while showing a film, including talking, stealing, crying and having sex.
